** I LOVED the challenge of this workout! SO good! I would say the toughest thing for me were the push jerks... I had to set it on my back a few times and honestly that didn't seem to help the burn much! For each movement all 31 reps must be unbroken. If you fail to do all 31 reps unbroken, start back at rep #1 for that movement. Rest only between movements. Scale as needed. To be considered unbroken if an object starts on the ground it can’t touch the ground again until the 31st rep is complete. For barbell movements (overhead squats and push jerks) the bar may rest on the shoulders. For bodyweight movements like box jumps and burpees, athlete must keep moving. ******************************** CrossFit South (Athens, GA) originally posted "Stevie" this as their workout of the day for December 31, 2012 - as a tribute to their member (Stevie) for his New Year's Eve birthday. The strict format of the workout requires that athletes complete each set of 31 without breaking. The penalty for breaking is starting the set over again, in which case it'll probably be harder to go unbroken on the next attempt. Athletes who plan to scale this workout will want to pick weights or movements for which 31 reps straight will be challenging but doable under fatigue. And all athletes will want to rest enough between sets to be sure to get through the next 31 reps unbroken. Stevie contacted us after we posted this to let us know: "[The] Leskos at @crossfit_south wrote this for me, bc my bday is NYE (12/31)...so as a rule you must follow with champagne!"
