Hero WOD (aka: "The Farmer Carry")


2 Rounds For Time: Finished in 49:16


  • 1,500 meter Row

  • 53 Push-Ups

  • 11 Pull-Ups

  • 5 Strict Press (115/85 lb)

  • 100 meter Farmer Carry (2x45 lb)

  • 50 meter Sled Push (70/50 lb) - I used 55#

  • 300 meter Sprint

This was an interesting workout. Very arm intensive!


My first round was 24:12 - Row was tough for some reason on this first round. 7:24

Second was 25:40 - Row felt better! 7:11


My push-ups - for both sets was 10/10/6-4/6-4/7/6

Pullups - 6/5

Strict press - 3/2

There wasn't a female weight for the Farmer Carry so I DID use 45#'s

Admittedly - My "Sprint" wasn't very sprinty. :P


Grateful to do this one and grateful it was only 2 rounds!

Background: Soldiers from the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) dedicated themselves to a memorial workout (versions of which we’ve seen named “The Farmer Carry”) in honor of Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jonathan Farmer.


The workout first took place at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and around the world on January 16, 2021, marking the anniversary of CW2 Farmer’s passing. Chief Warrant Officer Farmer was tragically killed in Syria on January 16, 2019, and is remembered for his service and sacrifice.
