I really loved this workout.
My runs felt really smooth today and I can finally tell that all my running is paying off!
The Burpees felt great.
The Reverse Crunches got tough! I haven't done those in such a long time. I had to stop a few times just to get a little stretch in!
Squats nice and steady. Just a couple times I have to roll my ankle around because my calf starts to hurt.
Push-ups - a set of 20 and then sets of 10.
The row was pretty slow but it felt good.
I loved the clean and presses. I assumed I couldn't do a jerk and it just took me a while to get out of the habit! My first ones felt awkward but then I loved them.
Deadlifts felt heavier than I wanted them to until the last 10!
The snatches I made myself go unbroken on with such a light weight. I switched arms after a set of 15.
Russian KB swings I WANTED to go unbroken but just couldn't. I did 20/11.
The Farmer walk just took a long time. I did a 33 foot down and back = 1. I would do 2 reps (so 2 down and backs) and then I would rest. I tried 3 one time and decided that would be a bad idea. I did do 3 for my last ones though.

British Royal Marines from 42 Commando created this workout to mark 100 years since the British raid on Zeebrugge (April 23, 1918). 227 reps signifies the total number of lives of Royal Marines lost. We first found the workout posted by the official Royal Marines Twitter account in April, 2018. The two parts of the workout are named after Major Edward Bamford, VC and Sgt. Norman Augustus Finch.
From Wikipedia: “The Zeebrugge Raid (French: Raid sur Zeebruges) was an attempt by the Royal Navy to block the Belgian port of Bruges-Zeebrugge. The British intended to sink obsolete ships in the canal entrance, to prevent German vessels from leaving port. The port was used by the Imperial German Navy as a base for U-boats and light shipping, which were a threat to Allied control of the English Channel and southern North Sea. Several attempts to close the Flanders ports by bombardment failed and Operation Hush, a 1917 plan to advance up the coast, proved abortive. As sinkings by U-boats increased, finding a way to close the ports became urgent and the Admiralty became more willing to consider a raid.
An attempt to raid Zeebrugge was made on 2 April 1918 but was cancelled at the last moment, after the wind direction changed and made it impossible to lay a smokescreen to cover the ships. Another attempt was made on 23 April, with a concurrent attack on Ostend. Two of three blockships were scuttled in the narrowest part of the Bruges Canal and one of two submarines rammed the viaduct linking the shore and the mole, to trap the German garrison. The blockships were sunk in the wrong place and after a few days the Germans had opened the canal to submarines at high tide. The British suffered 583 casualties and the Germans lost 24 men.”
