**************************************************************

This was just a really good workout. I am still recovering from my break and from being sick so I just took this nice and slow. I was trying to keep my heart rate down but that didn't work very well!

I did most of the runs on the treadmill but did the last 2 outside.

Grateful to honor this young man. <3

**************************************************************

Background: This workout is dedicated to SPC Justin W. Hebert who was killed in action in Kirkuk, Iraq, on August 1, 2003, when the vehicle he was driving was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade. SPC Hebert was the first Sky Soldier Artilleryman to be Killed in Action during the Global War on Terror.

SPC Hebert’s motivation and dedication stood out among his peers as he was recognized with an Army Achievement Medal during his unit’s Combat Training Center rotation in preparation for deployment to Iraq. SPC Hebert would continue to display exemplary service during the 173d’s deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II.

SPC Hebert was 17 when he enlisted. He jumped into Operation Northern Delay on 26 March 2003.

The workout was designed by Robert Kinney, a certified coach and currently on active duty.

The rep scheme signifies:

– 17 for SPC Herbert’s age when he enlisted

– 21 for his age when he died

– 26 for the day when he jumped into Operation Northern Delay on March 26, 2003

– 28 for his birthday on July 28, 1983.
