  • 30 Box Jumps (24/20 in)

  • 20 Push Presses (115/75 lb)

  • 30 Pull-Ups

This was a great workout! I paced perfectly for me today to keep my heart rate from staying too high for too long and getting a headache. I also did smaller sets with the pull-ups because I haven't been doing many of those and want to make sure my shoulder handles them okay. They felt great but we'll see how things feel tomorrow! I did all the box jumps just slow and steady. The push-press I did from 12-14 and then finished off in 2 rounds.

And the pull-ups I think first set 10/10/10 and then about that in rounds 2 and for the 17 I did in that 3rd round. I think on another day I could really crush this workout and get 3+, maybe 4. But, for today, I think it went great.

Oakland SWAT Sergeant Daniel Sakai, age 35, was killed on March 21, 2009 in the line of duty along with fellow officers Sergeant Ervin Romans, Sergeant Mark Dunakin, and Officer John Hege.


Daniel is survived by wife Jenni and daughter Jojiye.
