  • 12 Dumbbell Box Step-Ups (2x22.5/15 kg)

  • 11 Dumbbell Front Rack Lunges (2x22.5/15 kg)

  • 10 calorie Row

  • 9 V-Ups

  • 8 Power Snatches (45/30 kg)

  • 7 Knees-to-Elbows

  • 6 Pull-Ups

  • 5 Thrusters (45/30 kg)

  • 4 Hand Release Push-Ups

  • 3 Burpee Box Jump Overs (24/20 in)

  • 2 Deadlifts (45/30 kg)

  • 1 Bear Complex (45/30 kg)


  • 1 Bear Complex consists of Unbroken 1 Power Clean, 1 Front Squat, 1 Push Press, 1 Back Squat, 1 Push Press.


Round 1 starts with 1 Bear Complex. Then, Round 2 is 2 Deadlifts and 1 Bear Complex. Round 3 is 3 Burpee Box Jump Overs, 2 Deadlifts, and 1 Bear Complex. Continue with this pattern until Round 13 starting with 13 Dumbbell Devil Presses down to 1 Bear Complex. Complete the 13 rounds as fast as possible (“For Time“).

This was a great workout. The only movement I didn't go unbroken on was the devil press.... they are so tough! I also always went right from the knee to elbow into the pull-ups without coming off the bar. The perfect amount of grind for my day. I didn't hurry - I just moved. Grateful to honor these 13 men and women.

This workout is dedicated to the 13 service members – 11 Marines, an Army Corpsman, and a Navy Corpsman – who died on August 26, 2021, at the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, while engaged in a dangerous, selfless mission to save the lives of others. They were assisting in the evacuation of US Citizens and friendly Afghan nationals.


The attack marked one of the deadliest days for American forces in the past decade of the 20-year war in Afghanistan — and took place just days ahead of the U.S.’s planned full withdrawal from the country that was overtaken on Aug. 15 by the Taliban.
