This was a really good workout. I used the first run as a warm-up ending up at 6.5 on the treadmill. All movements were unbroken. The squats were honestly the hardest part to keep unbroken. I just tried to move at a pace that would allow it. The last 10 were always pretty rough.

The second run I thought I might be able to keep at the 6.5 pace or better but I could NOT! Lol!! Quads were just toast!

Honored to do this one...

Background: This hero workout is dedicated to Brazilian police officer Edson Carlo Mora Chinchilla, who died on December 20, 1998 while trying to defend one of Rio de Janeiro’s police precincts during a drug dealer’s rescue invasion attempt to liberate a principal cartel leader.

Alone, he held his ground during 3 hours of intense gun fighting, where he was shot a total of 8 times, the last one being fatal. He received a post mortem promotion.

The workout was designed by his son, Coach Edson Chinchilla of CrossFit Netuno @crossfitnetuno (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).

The number of reps of each movement is related to the date Officer Edson was killed. The movements chosen are the most common movements in police academy physical training.
