Background: Dedicated to Fusilier Jonathan Burgess, of 3 Platoon, A Company, 1st Battalion The Royal Welsh who died on 2010/04/07 as a result of gunshot wounds following a small arms engagement in the Nad ‘Ali area of Helmand province, Afghanistan.
At the time, his multiple (half a platoon) was on patrol to disrupt insurgents who were focused on stopping the British soldiers and their Afghan partners from protecting local communities within the area.
We first found the workout posted in a list of workouts for CrossFit Essex’ @cfessex 2014 WODvember event. The workout was later posted by @britishherowods, who said the workout was “also dedicated to Mark Turner and Michael Sweeney who died the same month.”
