This was a great workout... The wall balls were tough, but I expected that. I did them in sets of 15 with 13 and 12 at the end. The Kettlebell swings I did - 30, 20, 27, 23. I wanted to do more at a time but they are tough on the traps with the weight best on!! And honestly the air squats felt harder then I wanted them to! Lol! The runs... felt great! :D Always honored... ************************** Backround: This workout is dedicated to Josip Briški (27), who was the first Croatian soldier killed in action in Afghanistan. He died on July 24, 2019 when a suicide bomber attacked his convoy outside Kabul. Josip is survived by his wife and son, who was 1 year old when he passed away. This Hero WOD was submitted to us by CrossFit Maksimir @crossfitmaksimir (Zagreb, Croatia) who created the workout in Josip's honor. After reaching out to CrossFit Maksimir, we were informed that one of their coaches, Luka Bolfan, created this workout to honor Josip's sacrifice. In an email with Luka, he revealed that a few members of CrossFit Maksimir were active Croatian military and had previously served with Josip. As Luka relates, there is no significance to the rep scheme or movements chosen. According to Luka, multiple Croatian CrossFit boxes first performed this workout in Josip's memory on August 1, 2019.
